Ph.D. Fellowship Available in Fall 2006

A graduate research assistantship toward a Ph.D. degree will be available for domestic students in fall 2006 to employ the functional genomics approaches to study the bovine respiratory disease complex using DNA microarray, RNA interference, and a host of other cutting-edge molecular and cellular tools. An M.S. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, immunology or animal/veterinary sciences is required. Demonstrated research experience in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, microbiology, and/or virology is preferred.

The highly competitive stipends ($20,000/year) will be funded through the OSU Centennial Scholarship Program with possibility of additional $4,000/year of supplementation by the Sitlington Enriched Scholarship at OSU. The assistantship is only available to highly qualified domestic students. International applications can not be considered.
