Job Summary:

Assist with all advising activities in the department. Organize materials, room preparations during enrollment. Record and track all student major, option, minor and advisor changes. Office management (phones, receptionist duties, preparing travel forms, etc., purchases and credit card management, reconciliation of appropriate experiment station, conference and foundation accounts). Maintain a professional and organized work place. Assist with document preparation (correspondence and mail, extension publications, etc.). Assist with maintenance of web-based materials in the Animal Science Meats group and the Coordinator for Student Success. Supervise management of meetings, educational conferences, etc. hosted by Animal Science Meats group and the Coordinator for Student Success.

May be asked to work some additional times outside the 8:00 am to 5:00 pm time, including limited weekend activity. 
Regular hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. This position is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position (which indicates that it is not exempt from overtime pay and comp time leave accrual). If a variance is needed from the regular hours mentioned above, prior approval is required.
