Finding Dairy Research Experts

Search the Livestock Library.

There are two recommended steps for finding a researcher conducting studies on your problem. There may not be a person who's an expert on your specific situation. However, someone conducting research on your general area is likely to have the best insight into identifying a cause(s). Frequently, the expert can identify what you should do next to solve the problem.

Remember, you are most likely asking these people for a favor. If you've done your homework first you're much more likely to get a favorable response.

First,,
search the USDA Current Research Information System (CRIS) WWW site. Click on the link in this paragraph, and go to the site, which has lots of on-line help for new users. Find the name, location and any available contact information of the people doing work in your area. Write the names and locations down. Then, search ICAR the Inventory of Canadian Agri-food Research. Similar to CRIS, find the people involved and write down name(s), location(s) and any contact information.

Second, if you still don't have adequate information to contact the individual(s), then addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses are available at the WWW home page for most US and Canadian universities. If you don't know the URL for the WWW home page of a university, click on one of the following links to get a link from the Yahoo list of universities:
