Dairy Problem Solving Resources

Search the Livestock Library.
There are three recommended steps for finding dairy production
problem solving resources on the Internet and WWW by dairy producers
and their advisors.
If you follow this order you're more likely to find cooperative
individuals to provide you with the key help.
First, go
to the library. The
WWW Virtual Library has lots of resources.
Read all you can on your specific problem. Click on the link
in this pargraph to find libraries of resources available on the WWW. You'll
be surprised at how much is available. Another resource is
Consultant, an on-line diagnostic decision support tool for veterinary medicine.
Second, find
out if others have discussed this problem before. Click on the link
in this paragraph to
search the archives of past Dairy-L messages.
Dairy-L is a group of over 2,800 dairy professionals and students
from 40 countries who communicate
by e-mail. You can search the archives for messages that contain certain
words that you enter. In the next screen, click with the mouse in the box, type in
the word(s) and then press the Enter key. After finding an interesting message,
you can contact the person who sent the message for more information.
Third,
Search for an
expert who is doing research on your particular topic. Click
on the link in this paragraph to go to a WWW page that describes a
strategy for not only finding the name of an expert, but also
finding out how to contact them.
Go back to the WWW Virtual Library for Dairy
Production.
