Breeds of Livestock - Sardianian Sheep

sarda1w.jpgAlso Known By: Cagliari, Campidano, Sarda (Italian)

This breed originated from the local lowland breed which were large, polled and had white wool. Merino and Barbary breeding were also used in developing the breed.

It is primarily keep for milk production. The males are occationally horned and the females are polled (hornless).
