Place of Origin Central Mali, Northern Burkina Faso, inland delta of Niger River
Relationship to other breeds Adamawa (Cameroon), Diali (Niger), Fellata (Chad), Gobra (Senegal), Red Bororo, White Fulani (Nigeria)
Characteristics The color pattern varies. This is the classical black and white color pattern in the breed.
Breed Societies French Peul
Synonyms Hausa Filani, Fulani or Fulawa. Singular Fula or Fulah.
Proscribed Names Kanouri (Chad) Fellata or Filata
