What is a PDF file and why can't I look at it?

PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It's a distribution format developed by Adobe Corporation to allow electronic information to be transfered between various types of computers. The software which allows this transfer is called Acrobat. In order to view and print one of our PDF files you will first need to download and install a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Acrobat Reader is currently available for the following systems: DOS, Windows, MacIntosh and Unix.

The Acrobat reader is available at no cost from the Adobe web site. Be sure to pick up the installation instructions. The instructions tell you how to install the Acrobat Reader and how to set it up as a helper application in a variety of web browsers. You can go directly to Adobe's Acrobat information by clicking HERE.
